Evaluations typically last between 14 days and 21 days. The evaluation process is summarized as follows:

• Discuss network topology and proposed testing method with a Top Layer sales engineer
• Sales Engineer performs installation and provides basic IPS training
• Installation includes IPS appliance, Network Security Analyzer and IPS Controller software (for managing multiple devices), both of which will be pre-installed on a Top Layer-provided server
• Top Layer's Security Operations Center provides necessary hands-on training during the evaluation period via web meetings and answers questions arising from test scenarios
• Upon completion of the evaluation, a security report is generated to review the security events observed by the IPS during the evaluation period - this is a business-level report that reviews observed attacks and the potential consequences that could have occurred without an IPS present
