Releases Network Security Analyzer; Extends IPS 5500 User Response to Security Incidents

Top Layer Networks, a global leader for high performance intrusion prevention solutions, today announced the availability of Network Security Analyzer (NSA) v4.6.  Top Layer’s Network Security Analyzer provides security event management, real-time alerting and flexible reporting for users of the company’s IPS 5500 intrusion prevention solution. 

 

Top Layer’s Network Security Analyzer helps organizations save time and effort in day-to-day security monitoring and incident response by providing enterprise-wide security intelligence.  Used in conjunction with Top Layer’s IPS 5500, NSA 4.6 includes real-time monitoring and correlated alerting, forensics and investigative root cause analysis, reporting and monitoring portals, and compliance audit lifecycle management to help companies strengthen their overall security posture.

New features in the NSA 4.6 focus on advanced alerting, specialized classification capabilities, usability and management enhancements, and more robust reporting functionality:

·         Advanced Alerting - Allows users to set alert correlation interval, severity of alerts, precedence and negation per alert rule, and pattern analysis based on filter expressions

 

Specialized Classification Capabilities

·         Event Classification - Allows a user to classify events based on each policy and apply what queries will be affected by the classification

·         Threat Level Classification - Allows users to change the event severity of the threat level based on polices

 

Usability and Management Enhancements

·         Workbench Improvements - Allows users to quickly drilldown and filter on any event in real-time

·         Integrated Security Center - Allows combined Reporting and Monitoring views

·         Enhanced User Management - Allows users to be limited per reporting category, query and per device monitors

 

Robust Reporting Functionality

·         Security Center Reporting Templates - Allows users to run and export reports using templates, “similar to” profiles, Enhanced Forensics with drilldown capabilities

·         Enhanced Reporting- Historical attack reports for devices (past month, week, day and current comparison) & On Demand Report Customization

·         Enhanced Compliance Reports - Addition of VISA PCI reporting
